Children ages 3-8 (U4-U8) participate in our MicroSoccer Program. This program emphasizes development of rudimentary ball handling skills in a fun setting.
Children in the U4-U6 age divisions learn to become comfortable with a soccer ball in structured and unstructured play. They are assigned to teams, and develop comfort and familiarity in playing the game with the same kids and families each week. Teams practice once a week and play 3v3 matches mostly on Saturdays during the season, where keeping score is irrelevant. The focus each week is a lot of praise and encouragement and many opportunities for success.
Children who play in the U7 and U8 age divisions start their transition to the Developmental and Advanced Divisions. Children start to learn the Laws of the Game, but fundamental skills remain the focus. Practices are once or twice each week, depending on the coach. Regular technical sessions may enter into the practice schedule as well. Weekly matches are run with a single referee. At this level, U8 teams play 5v5, and offsides is not enforced.
Unfortunately, due to processing fees and establishment of teams, refunds will not be given.
